Jessica Manfre, Samantha Gomolka, and Maria Reed met in Washington DC for the first time in May of 2019
as all three represented their respective branch at the Armed Forces Insurance (AFI) Military Spouse of the Year award dinner where they were honored for their dedication to serving military families.
Jessica was named the AFI 2019 Coast Guard Spouse of the year,
Maria was honored as the AFI Army Spouse of the Year and
Samantha, the AFI National Guard Spouse of the Year.
Shortly after meeting, they forged a close bond and shared passion for service.
They wanted to create something special that would unite all the branches of service.
Through this, the #GivingTuesdayMilitary movement was born.
The mission of this movement is to showcase 1 MILLION acts of kindness on Giving Tuesday December 3, 2019
by United States military members, their families, veterans, Gold Star and Surviving families, and patriotic supporters.
They know this is possible and that kindness can change the world. It starts with YOU.
